What Types of Information Does This Web Site Collect From Me?

Personally Identifiable Information
The Web Site generally collects personally identifiable information about users in two contexts:
         1.      Registered Users.   Users who register on the Web Site to email alerts from Project Angel Mom (“Registered User”) are asked to submit their email address and other information. 
         2.      Information You Voluntarily Provide.  If you choose to contact Project Angel Mom by phone, mail or email, or request that Project Angel Mom send an email message on your behalf to recipients whom you designate, you will also be providing personally identifiable information to Project Angel Mom.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information
Project Angel Mom generally collects non-personally identifiable information about users in two contexts:

• Log Files.  When you visit the Web Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a Web site.  These log files include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and the pages and services you used on this Web Site.

How Does This Web Site Automatically Collect Information?

Project Angel Mom automatically collects information about a user in two ways:

Personally Identifiable Information

When you provide a recipient’s email address for Project Angel Mom to send an email message on your behalf, Project Angel Mom will use the email address that you provide only to send the requested message.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We can use non-personally identifiable information, primarily log file information that is automatically collected, to analyze trends, administer the Web Site, track users’ movements around the Web Site, and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.  We do not link this automatically-collected information to your email or other personally identifiable information.

 

 

With Whom Does Project Angel Mom Share this Information?

Aggregate Information
Project Angel Mom combines your usage information on the Web Site with that of other users to determine those areas of the Web Site that are most popular.  By collecting and analyzing this data, Project Angel Mom can improve the Web Site.  This aggregate information does not contain your personally identifiable information.
Project Angel Mom shares aggregate information with potential partners, sponsors, investors and other interested third parties in connection with the marketing of Project Angel Mom and the Web Site.

Selling and Renting Information
Project Angel Mom does not currently sell or rent to third parties the email address or other personally identifiable information of its Registered Users.  If we later modify this policy, we will give Registered Users notice and the chance to opt-out of having their email address or other personally identifiable information sold or rented.

Other Sharing
Project Angel Mom may transfer the personally identifiable information it collects to any successor in interest to Project Angel Mom, such as a company that acquires Project Angel Mom. Project Angel Mom may also disclose personally identifiable information about a user if it determines that an applicable law, regulation or legal process requires it, or if Project Angel Mom determines that it needs to share such information to protect or enforce Project Angel Mom's rights or the rights of another user.

 

 

What Else Should I Know About Privacy?

Security
We maintain security measures in place in order to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the personally identifiable information under our control.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.  Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, please be advised that Project Angel Mom assumes no responsibility or liability for disclosure of your information (personally identifiable or otherwise) due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access or other causes beyond Project Angel Mom's control.

Disclosure of Information in Public Areas

Collection of Information from Minors

The Web Site is directed to, and intended for use by, adults only.  We require that a user be eighteen years of age or older to become a Registered User (and in doing so, to submit personally identifiable information).  We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen.  If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of thirteen, we will delete such information.
